Between academia and practice, Brook Teklehaimanot’s work focuses on the forces of urbanization in developing territories and the subsequent projective intervention, both artistic and architectural. He spent years teaching and preparing academic materials at the Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction, and City Development (EiABC), later expanding his professorship as a guest lecturer for the TU Delft Global Housing Studio. Beyond the academic realm, he founded Ethiopia-based architectural design firm BOTA Architectoch, and published one of the pioneer trials to start an academic platform for discussing architectural teaching didactic in the Ethiopian context. As a global fellow and doctoral candidate at the TU Delft, his current research explores the correlations between spatial practices and housing conditions in Addis Ababa.
