Prior to working for the Housing Development Sector of the Federal Housing Corporation in Ethiopia, Mahlet gained extensive experience in several sectors within the field of construction. With twelve years of professional work in housing development and related disciplines, she paved  the way to her current leadership role overseeing all tasks related to the corporation’s Project Study and Follow-up team.  As a certified Public Private Professional working intensively in a high-paced team, her position focuses on the search for alternative finances that may enhance the corporation’s building capacity within shorter timeframes. Highly concerned and invested in the many dwelling issues experienced by the urban poor, her work involves maximizing local construction to develop remarkable quantities of homes within ambitious project periods.
