With a background in architecture and urban planning, Haregewoin Bekele has over fifteen years of work experiences in design, construction, and consultancy, including leadership roles in different local offices. Her academic career was both international and interdisciplinary, studying Urban Land and Property Valuation at EiABC in Ethiopia, to later earning a masters degree in Real Estate Management at KTH  in Sweden. Within these fields, she’s attained extensive lecturing opportunities in different universities, including Hope College of Science, Business, and Technology. Before starting her current Project Officer position at UN Habitat in 2019, she worked for seven years as a design reviewer for the United Nations Office for Project Services.
