Working directly within the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing in Ethiopia, Fireh carries the role of Head of Housing Development, Supply, and Capacity Building Department of the FDRE. While this has been his primary position, he holds a strong background of varied work experiences, including positions in academia where he lectured in both college and high school levels. Within the public realm, he also took on initiatives of gender diversity while working as a Gender Officer for the Mayor’s Office in Addis Ababa. Amongst other relevant topics, Tsegaye’s area of expertise and most prominent work lies within geography, population studies, environmental studies, urban development, and housing development.
